Biography

Michael fitzGerald has a quarter of a century of experience in computing. He provides practical advice to the old and impatient and computer consultancy and assistance to artists and crafstpersons

His approach is a mixture of the cheapskate and the cutting edge.

His office comprises an attic, a cat, a CD disc and a USB drive . These (but not the cat) can be plugged into any computer to provide  all of the files he needs to run his life.

His blog is rightly called JustEnoughTechnology.

His sceptical approach as to who actually needs a computer has successfully prevented him from making a fortune in consultancy.

Other paths he has taken include in chronological order, academic botanist, biochemist, project manager, computer consultant and art gallery manager.
